What Is Coverage on Apple Devices?

On Apple Check Coverage, Coverage describes the services currently applied to that serial number: hardware repair under warranty, technical support, and AppleCare+ if purchased.

Coverage is not a single score. It is a set of statuses — each item can be in or out of date independently.

Warranty usually refers to the hardware Limited Warranty. Coverage is the broader concept on Apple's portal, including technical support and extended plans. A device can be out of hardware warranty but still have phone support, or the reverse, depending on product and market.

1. Enter the serial number.
2. Review the repair and support sections.
3. Note the expiry date of each item.
4. Match the returned model against the physical device before concluding.
