What Is AppleCare / AppleCare+?

AppleCare is the umbrella name for Apple's support plans. AppleCare+ is the common consumer plan: longer hardware coverage plus accidental-damage benefits (drops, liquid) with a fixed service fee.

• Limited Warranty: typically 1 year of hardware coverage + 90 days of phone support (varies by market).
• AppleCare+: longer term (often 2 years or a subscription) plus accidental damage.
• Limited Warranty does not cover drops/liquid; AppleCare+ may, with a service fee.

1. Get the serial number.
2. Open Apple Check Coverage.
3. If AppleCare+ is active, the page shows it with an expiry date.

Verify by serial before paying. The plan may be tied to the previous owner's Apple ID; transfer rules vary by market. Do not trust verbal claims if Check Coverage does not show AppleCare+.
