How to Check a Xiaomi Warranty by IMEI or Serial Number

Dial *#06#, or open Settings → About phone → Detailed info and specs. Dual-SIM Xiaomi phones generally have IMEI 1 and IMEI 2. Record both when you need a complete device reference.

Compare the identifier shown by the phone with the box and invoice. A mismatch may indicate the wrong box, an enclosure replacement, or another issue that should be resolved before purchase.

Open Xiaomi Product Authentication, enter the IMEI or S/N, and complete the verification code. The result authenticates the identifier; local warranty eligibility still depends on the sales market, distributor, and proof of purchase.

A recognized identifier does not automatically qualify a phone for official warranty service in Vietnam. Mainland China models, global models, and products distributed through Vietnam channels may have different terms and service routes.

Check the invoice, distributor label, model suffix, and the service center that would handle a repair. If eligibility is unclear, ask Xiaomi or the distributor to confirm the entitlement in writing.

Verify that Mi Account and Google Account locks can be removed, and that the phone can be reset and activated. Review bootloader and software status; test the display, battery, cameras, speakers, charging port, buttons, and network functions; and ask about repair history.

An IMEI does not reveal whether the bootloader has been unlocked or whether components have been replaced.
