What Is the Purchase Date?

The purchase date is the transaction date on a receipt, e-invoice or authorized-reseller document. It is commercial proof, not a technical signal from the device.

A device may be sold and set up days later; warehouse staff may activate it early; or the buyer may open it late. Apple records the actual activation moment, so the two dates may not match.

1. Coverage expires earlier than expected.
2. You bought from an Apple Store / authorized reseller with a valid receipt.
3. Contact Apple Support to adjust the purchase date under local policy.
